Of course cold by Southern California standards is balmy to the rest of the country, but we were having days in the upper 40s to low 50s during a week in March. I met up with these cute little bunnies K & S, who decided it was just too darn cold. We had a short session, just a little over a half hour, but still managed to capture some cute moments of them. Hopefully we can try again once the weather warms up!
Just finished editing these photos of the lovely Mrs. C. She was 38 weeks pregnant at the time of the session, which was just over 2 weeks ago. Did you know I used to be a photographer for a mall studio? Well, I was. I did shoot families with pregnant moms, but this was the first time shooting a session like this. We started with an outfit of her own, and then started breaking out various yardages of fabric to wrap around her. It was a lot of fun! I have some definite favorite shots, and I also learned a lot. Mrs. C was so calm and peaceful, and quite a beauty and easy to capture.
I am so blessed to be allowed to spend some time with Sweet Baby S today. Baby S is only 9 days old today. I love holding babies, and she was a joy to photograph and to hold. She only fussed a little, but quieted down so easily. She didn’t really like to pose too much, but that’s OK, we were able to capture some pretty pictures anyway. I can still smell her wonderful, newborn smell. Sweet, sweet, Baby. Thank you for being my model today.
G & A are new two year olds, and boy are they ever! So often people describe the time when our children are two as the, “Terrible Two’s,” but they really aren’t that terrible. G & A were, instead, “Typical Two’s.” Two year olds, I always say, are THE most difficult age to photograph. Not because they are terrible, but because they are very independent, very curious, and their favorite word is, “No.” So trying to get their attention when they’re busy inspecting everything else around them is not easy. “G” wanted to just keep going off and exploring, even though we were in a greenbelt that he’d visited many times. The greenbelt was beautiful, and there were some large shade trees. But do you think “G” or “A” had any interest in just hanging out in the shade and playing with me? That’s OK. These two have the most stunning eyes, and I did have some luck capturing some precious expressions. We spent time both indoors and outdoors, and I loved spending time with them, as well as their wonderful parents. Thanks for inviting me to play!
I had the opportunity to capture images of these twin 10 month olds who are are at the pulling up and cruisin’ stage in their life. They came along with big sis, “A” who was bright and energetic and happy to pose. They all had bright beautiful eyes, and such happy smiles. It was a little cold that morning, but we made it work!
