Welcome to my new website!

By | 2017-02-09T16:33:51+00:00 March 2nd, 2013|News, Portraits|2 Comments

I have been planning to re-do my website for the longest time.  I finally got to it, and I’m so happy with how it looks so far.  I am still working on adding new images, and putting some old images back onto the site since I am using a different gallery software, and the photos need to be a different size.  That is something I can work on without having the site down.

I would really love to have your feedback!  If you find things that are awkward, or don’t work, please let me know!  Those of you who know me know that building websites is something I do for others, and I usually have other people affiliated with the organization to bounce things off of as I work on it.  But since this is my own site, I only have friends, family and clients to let me know what I’m doing right, and what I need to work on.

We’re Back! | Orange County, CA photographer

By | 2017-02-09T16:33:52+00:00 August 16th, 2012|News|0 Comments

Yes, it’s true, Christina Kennedy Photography is back in Orange County, California.  My husband accepted a position back here at the beginning of June, and we had to quickly find a new home, get our house in Iowa packed up, and move. We arrived almost a month ago.  Since then, we have been busy unpacking, getting re-acquainted with friends, spending time with family, and getting the kids into activities and prepped for school.

We were very sad to leave our new friends in Iowa, but we are very happy to be back home!

I am booking sessions for September and forward, so be sure to contact me or call me at 888-280-4414!  I will be offering some limited mini sessions for the holidays in September and October, so be sure to follow me on Facebook, and sign up for my email if you’re interested in one of those sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Christina Kennedy Photography is on the move… again! | Des Moines Portrait Photographer

By | 2017-02-09T16:33:52+00:00 February 15th, 2011|News, Portraits|0 Comments

Yes, that’s right.  We are moving again.  Just a recap for those of you who have been following.  We moved from Orange County, California to West Des Moines, IA in July, 2010.  Then we moved to Clive, IA in September 2010.  Now we are moving again, to Gainesville, Florida!

No, the reason is NOT because I don’t like the snow and the cold.  The truth is that I have been LOVING the snow and the cold.  The reason is that my husband has been offered another position in Gainesville, and it is a really great opportunity for him.  We will be doing the same thing we did last time – hubby moves first, the kids and I follow once school is out.

I will continue to take sessions until the end of April, so if you’ve been thinking about getting a standard session in, please contact me ASAP to get it booked.  I will also be opening up some Spring Mini-Sessions soon, so stay tuned for those.

And if anyone knows of a family that will be looking to rent/lease a 4 bedroom home in the Des Moines area (Clive), an excellent neighborhood near excellent schools (Waukee School District), available starting this summer, please send them my way!

Gainesville families, please join my mailing list to be kept informed about Grand Opening Specials!

Also be sure to contact me now about Fall and Winter sessions!  I look forward to meeting you!

Contact me at 888-280-4414, or online to book your session.  You can also view my gallery.

Our First Snow in Iowa | Des Moines Photographer

Our First Snow

Our First Snow

Last night, we had our first truly measurable snow fall since we moved to Iowa.  The Des Moines Register reported that Des Moines received a little over 4″ of snow, but the wind was blowing pretty hard and the drifts are much deeper.  The kids all spent some time sledding down the small slope we have in our backyard, until they either became too cold or decided it just wasn’t a fast enough “hill.”   I went out this morning to capture this memory of our home with our first snow on it.
